Tim Roddy is senior director of product marketing for McAfee. In this role, he is responsible for product marketing for the company’s Web,Email and network DLP gateway security product lines, overseeing messaging and positioning, market development and helping to guide the product roadmap through close interaction with customers and partners
Prior to joining McAfee, Roddy was director of product marketing for Secure Computing which McAfee acquired in November of 2008. Prior to joining Secure, Roddy ran product marketing for Stellent, an enterprise content management software vendor. He has more than 20 years of product and engineering experience, serving in a variety of roles at other companies including Alliance Data, CyberCash and General Dynamics.
Roddy has served as an expert speaker at numerous industry events on topics that include Web security, Web 2.0 adoption and risks, malware, encrypted Web use and data leakage. He holds a master’s degree in Business Administration from the Anderson School at University California, Los Angeles. He earned his bachelor’s of science and master’s of science degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.
