I thought it might be fun to do a post with some of the interesting things I have found lurking around the interwebs this week. This might give you some cool things to discuss with your teen and some cool apps and videos to share with your friends. So here we go!
This video has been cracking me up all week! Doesn’t this show you what a great workout the Wii gives kids (and me – I just bought Zumba)! The one on the right has all the moves, the one on the left has the pipes!
You know those times when you are running errands and you get home only to realize that you forgot to do something? Well how about an app that combines your To-do list with geo-location technology? Enter reQall, the app that does just that. I am still a bit wary about geo-location apps, but if this helps save some gas…
How about a crafty solution for dealing with the clutter of cables behind your computer? Why not use a sock to make it more sightly?
This article by @meghanoverdeep has turned me into a huge fan of Turntable.fm! Be a DJ or just go and listen to great playlists created by users. Swoon!
MoshiMonsters is the hot new game for the little ones! If your tween is playing, you will want to check out the parent info page to learn about the social networking and chat features on this site.
Finally, I found this great old video of MTV explaining the Internet back in 1995! I especially love the bit about the “special interest truck stops called websites”. I guess he was comparing it to an actual highway! Lol
Leave me a comment and let me know what you think!
Have a great weekend! Stay safe out there!
