Only A Few Days Left (by Alex Thurber)

As I write this, it is one week from Thanksgiving, here in the United States. This is our kick-off to the holiday season, which got me thinking about our year-end and the realization that while there may be 36 shopping days till Christmas there are far fewer selling days before we reach our Dec. 28, fiscal year end.

However, there is some good news as it relates to year end spending, according to a study conducted by Standford University on the value of year-end spending, it discovered many organizations employ a “use it or lose it” budget philosophy, resulting in a higher weekly average spend the closer we get to the new year.

With customers ready to spend, but fewer selling days to work with I wanted to remind you of a couple of key sales resources that will allow us to work together to capitalize on the year-end spending spike.

  1. I Series to M Series Promotion – provides your customers an IPS (Intrusion Prevention Solution) upgrade path from the I-Series to the M-Series.
  2. Risk Management Accelerator Promotion – allows your customers, when purchasing a McAfee M Series appliance solution, to save up to 80% on 500 McAfee Vulnerability Manager Licenses and Support, and up to 60% on 500 McAfee Risk Advisor Licenses and Support.
  3. McAfee Total Protection 3-4-2 – provides your McAfee Suite customers the ability to purchase McAfee Total Protection or Endpoint Security Suite Upgrade License with 3 years of McAfee Gold Software Support at the Upgrade License and the 2-year McAfee Gold Software Support price.
  4. Enhanced Commercial & Enterprise Deal Registration – allows you to protect your net-new business while rewarding you with 25% of additional margin.
  5. SMB Extravaganza – gives our partner sales representatives the chance to win weekly prizes and the ultimate prize of a trip of a lifetime worth over $20,000.

For more details on any of the above-mentioned resources please contact your CAM.

As always please provide me with your feedback on this blog and thank you for partnering with McAfee.
