I went to the CES conference a few weeks ago and was blown away by the proliferation of new devices and mobile applications that were being announced. Then, last week, I was at the RSA Conference and the topic of securing mobile devices was top of mind for every attendee – customer and partner – I spoke with. I was not surprised to see device vendors like Blackberry on hand, and I think their presence was a clear signal that the explosion of mobile devices and applications is creating a security management challenge for IT teams in every size organization…especially true when those devices are being used simultaneously for personal and business.
Take a quick look at this short video where I talk about the opportunity McAfee sees this presenting for our partners - I am sure you are getting requests from your customers and prospects about this area of the security business. For your reference, this is a link to the Mobile Security section on McAfee.com with more details.
I also invite you and your customers to join McAfee VP of Mobility Dr. David Goldschlag and guest speaker Jules Polonetsky, Co-Chairman and Director from the Future of Privacy Forum, as they discuss privacy and governance risks around employee use of mobile devices within the enterprise on Thursday, February 24, 2011. Click here to register.
I look forward to continued dialog around securing devices and how McAfee can help you better serve the needs of your customers.
