According to Forrester Research the global cloud market is poised for massive growth, jumping from $40.7B in 2011 to more than $241B 2020. This move to cloud is driving significant spend in next generation data centers as customers look to support their private cloud initiatives.

I recently had the privilege of talking with Brett Kelsey, Vice President of the West for NWN, a McAfee channel partner, about next generation data centers and our opportunity together to secure it.

In Part 1 of the video Brett and I discuss the rapid evolution of the data center, the “consumerization” of IT and the unique challenges our mutual customers encounter securing data in a next generation data center.

In Part 2 we discuss the challenges and opportunities associated with the transition from a physical to virtual environment, how it is critical to build security in at the very beginning and McAfee’s unique centralized management model.

I encourage you to take a moment to watch these video clips to gain a better understanding of the opportunity we have together in data center security.

If you found these videos helpful or have a suggestion as to how we could have made this video more valuable please provide your feedback by commenting on this blog.

I’d like to thank Brett Kelsey of NWN for taking the time to sit down with me and giving his perspective on the next generation data center. And, as always, thank you for partnering with McAfee.
