Trends in BYOD, embedded devices, virtualization and cloud computing have all created new security challenges for organizations of all sizes. And while the future of network security in the face of these challenges is far from clear-cut, one thing is certain – it will be richer and more sophisticated than we’ve seen so far.
Thursday, 8/2 at 11am PT, join us and share your predictions on the future of network security. Representing the McAfee Network Security team will be myself and Yichong Lin to give our perspective and answer questions during the chat.
We want to know: What are some of the biggest network security challenges you see today that weren’t an issue five years ago, and what specific technologies have primarily influenced this change in your network environment?
From a technical perspective, what do you think is the most appropriate strategy for protecting data as it traverses between network and cloud? What is the best strategy for enterprise access & identity management in a virtualized and mobilized world? What are your thoughts on “Next-Generation” technologies like firewalls and intrusion prevention – just marketing speak, or do these solutions provide tangible value to the enterprise? What is the role of threat intelligence in all of this?
And finally, where do you see network security evolving over the next six months, twelve months, or even five years?
