It is with great satisfaction that I closed Q1 in EMEA. In fact we achieved a fantastic quarter! We signed a lot of new customers. We also signed innovative new deals with our existing customers. In addition to our Enterprise customers, our Commercial segment grew significantly. I thank our customers for their trust and can guarantee that it is well placed. Our Channel Partner Program is taking off. We reached our 100 ACE certification partner. I am very proud of my EMEA team who played hard to make it happen. Now we have Q2 already in the pipeline. My management team and I are preparing for success. Every time it is a new exercise, a new challenge. It is sharp, even tough but exciting.
I am also back from travelling. I just returned from a week spent in the Middle East. I visited customers and partners. I also did the Q2 Business review with our team in the theater. This region is just incredible! I am impressed with the dynamism, the positive energy, the hunger for innovation this part of the world shows. Part of the future lies in the Middle East, I have no doubt about it. Business is booming and they understand very well the importance of technology, of innovation, and of IT security as a strong business differentiator and enabler. As sophisticated cyber threats have increased, our customers and partners were very receptive about our vision of an integrated platform such as Security Connected. We offer a holistic security solution including SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) which can be managed by our unique console, ePO.
Among my visits, I went to see ADMA-OPCO in the Oil & Energy sector. They shared with us their future strategy. The consumerization of IT and the proliferation of connected devices to the Internet are clearly driving them to reassess how critical it is to protect their devices, their infrastructure and information. They underlined how meaningful Situational awareness was to them and how well our SIEM solution integrating the Nitro security technology was driving all their attention. I noticed similar concerns with our other customers.
My next move will be next week to Spain, to Malaga where we are planning our EMEA Sales Engineers Kick Off. I am thrilled to spend some quality time with this great team. Sales Engineers are key to our success. Their dedication, technological expertise and professionalism make a huge difference.
