There are some simple tips that make consumers feel more comfortable, such as making sure you enter credit card and other personal information on an encrypted site (https://) and shopping from a well known store. However, just because a store is large doesn’t make it secure or safe from criminals who want to target them and just because an online store is small doesn’t mean we can’t trust them.

These tips don’t put some people at ease anyway – we all know someone who absolutely refuses to shop online.  (No matter how much I tell them how great it is to shop in pajama’s!)
